Silent
Run offers float tubing for rainbow trout on several pristine lakes in the Matanuska
Valley.
The
abundant Mat-Su Valley lakes have both resident as well as stocked rainbow trout.
The fish average from 12 to 14 inches. The preferred method of fishing is using
a dry fly. The top water action in May and June can be superb. This excursion
is a favorite for business travelers or cruise passengers who find themselves
in Anchorage with an extra day.
Silent
Run supplies the flies and tippets along with the finest rods and reels. You will
be provided with top of the line Sage rods and reels. The float tubes are Wood
River V-Boats. I have found these to be the most comfortable float tubes on the
market.
Navigating
a lake in a float tube using force fins is another relaxing and pleasurable option
Silent Run offers.
